milwaukee è una cittadina graziosa attraversata da un fiume , lungo il fiume ci sono ristorantini e degustazioni di birre. è anche la patria bella birra Miller ed è possibile visitare il birrificio con relativa degustazione finale sul lungo lago c'è una bellissima costruzione di Calatrava che sembra una vela in procinto di salpare . noi non siamo andati al museo dell'harley perchè arrivavamo dal mega raduno di sturgis ed eravamo in "overdose" di harley abbiamo dormito una notte (23 agosto 2010)allo "sleep inn" , comodo, wifi e parcheggio (ovviamente free), piscina e prima colazione eravamo in 4 e abbiamo speso ca 110$ poi siamo ripartiti in direzione Chicago.

in banca però mi hanno sconsigliato di prelevare contanti attraverso i circuiti mastercard o visa con le rispettive carte di credito perchè addebitano un fisso piuttosto alto , credo ca 5€ a prelevamento , meglio utilizzare il bancomat negli ATM point. mentre per i pagamenti di hotel, ristoranti e quant'altro uso la carta di credito

infatti , noi fino a che i ragazzi non hanno superato i 6/7 anni abbiamo detto arrivederci agli usa , per diversi motivi: 1) a loro di questi viaggi sarebbe rimasto ben poco 2) abbiamo pensato che per loro sarebbe più salutare farsi 2-3 settimane al mare anzichè in montagna ( viviamo a milano) 3) sarebbe stato molto più stancante per tutti 4) per una questione di costi abbiamo ripreso i nostri viaggi con loro da 6 anni e ci divertiamo un mondo , anche mio figlio + grande, che ora a 21 anni , mi ha recentemente detto che : " finchè si va negli usa io vengo con voi " !

io devo essere del paleozoico, da quando abbiamo ricominciato nel 2006 gli otr ,viaggio sempre con il mio fantastico atlas - rand mc nally , ci ha portato ovunque . non mi sono convertita al navigatore, anche perchè se funziona come in italia : da lodi a milano ( 25 km - 1/2 ora di via emilia ) mi farebbe passare di default da crema spostandomi ad est su una strada provinciale incasinata , preferisco vivere !!! trovo invece molto comoda la bussola che c'è spesso in auto che ti dice almeno in quale direzione stai andando. comunque, ironia a parte, mio marito che non è certo un mega personaggio, ma per il suo lavoro (organizza trasporti internazionali) e per il fatto che la sua azienda è solo lui , spesso ha bisogno di telefonare o controllare le mail e poichè gli orari sono sfalsati sarebbe comodo poterlo fare pagando il giusto senza svenarsi con i vari roaming-truffa !
