Avrei trovato sul sito http://www.foxrentacar.com una Compact (ford Focus o similare) a $ 656 (€ 516,00) per 28 giorni (dal 09 giugno al 7 luglio); esclusa l'assicurazione riduzione responsabilità danni e furto LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER ($ 9,00 al giorno). Avrei pensato di prenotare una Compact (2 adulti e 3 bambini) ed eventualmente passare ad un segmento superiore, se necessario e/o opportuno, in loco. Una domanda: l'estensione rc aumentata a valori consoni è sempre inclusa ? Cosa ne pensate conoscete la compagnia ?

Potrebbe essere questo (28 notti dal 09.06 al 07.07, a/r Los Angeles ore 13.30) il tragitto (mi sembra simile a quello proposta da Carmen eccetto che da Las Vegas salgo per Salt Lake - passando da Zion e Bryce - a Yellowstone per poi scendere a Moab). 1) Costa Californiana (es. Lompoc), Frisco, Yosemite (Tioga Pass), Valle della Morte, La Vegas, Zion, Bryce, Salt Lake, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Moab, Page (con visita a Grand Canyon nord), Grand Canyon sud, San Diego, Los Angeles. Il dubbio che ho è se fare prima Frisco per poi proseguire per Sierra Nevada e Las Vegas o la Sierra Nevada tornando dall'Idaho e da Lake Tahoe. Vorrei inoltre evitare il pernotto a Las Vegas di venerdì e di sabato. A Yellowstone dov'è meglio pernottare, West Yellowstone, Gardiner o altro ? Penso che prenderò la decisione definitiva giunto a Los Angeles (arrivo - se puntuale - ore 13.30, valige, stanchezza, stato bambini, percorribilità Tioga Pass). Grazie per i consigli, non volevo assolutamente fare polemiche

Arrivo a Los Angeles e non a Frisco, nonm conosco cethedral gorge ed ely, pe ril resto non è male in parte ci aveo già pensato devo valutare con calma (ora non ho tempo) Grazie comunque

No Yellowstone è imprescindibile, sono già andato e non voglio farlo perdere ai miei figli; anche la Valle della Morte (ove non sono mai andato) e penso anche Moab; vorrei fare anche sia Sequia che Yosemite (con Tioga Pass se percorribile). Il dubbio maggiore è se rientrare per l'Idaho o fare Salt Lake City e rientro per Moab.

Arrivo a Los Angeles alle ore 13.30 del 9 giugno poi vorresi visitare la costa californiana fino a Frisco, Yosemyte, Sequoia poi Valle della Morte e Las Vegas per poi proseguire per i parchi fino a Yellowstone. Sono ancora in attesa di consigli.

Si pur essendo la famiglia bolognesissima (anche mia moglie) abitiamo a Cortaccia s.s.d.v.. e' la prima volta che parto per viaggi così lunghi con i bambini; abbiamo fatto molti viaggi in Europa. Per quanto riguarda i letti in albergo sono a conoscenza delle tipologie, comunque il piccolo (3 anni) dorme con noi adulti. Volo spesso su Roma con Air-Alps da Bolzano (dove farò il check-inn) esclusivamente con il bagaglio a mano (però non riesco a ricordarmi se lo pesano o meno; sono peraltro quasi sicuro che il mio bagaglio superi sempre i 5 kg); mentre per le dimensioni è pacifico che la rigidità è assoluta. Tutti consigliano di partire con poco, lavare e comperare l'abbilgiamento negli outlet (me ne ha appena segnalato un amico uuno fantastico a Las Vegas). Qual'è il tuo percorso ?

Si infatti probabilmente verrano spezzate o comnque gestite in modo diverso; dipende quale percorsosi sceglierà e se non ci saranna inconvenienti di viaggio (malattie, stanchezza, condizioni meteo avverse ecc.)

Sono tratte di solo trasferimento passibili comunque di riduzione in itinere (per questo lascerei più di una settimana finale in California). Ricordo comunque il rientro Yellowstone -Frisco nel 1992 come un viaggio di assoluto relax (assenza di traffico fino a Reno). I bambini son abituati a lunghi spostamenti in auto se comode (come spero che sia quella affittata); siamo andati più di una volta a Parigi da Bolzano (la strada non è scorrevole e tanto in Svizzera che passando dalla Germania a Stoccarda molto trafficata). Stiamo via comunque 29 gg (che sono un bel gruzzoletto da gestire) per questo eanch eper non aumentare i costi ho evitato passaggi o soste in capitali europee o a New York (ove andrò con il grand eun'altra volta a vedere l'NBA). Altra possibile opzione è rimanere a Los Angeles se i Lakers vanno in finale Nba per vedere gara 3 o 4 il giorno 13 o 15 giugno (ho stanziato un budget per me e mio figlio grande di Dollari 600 per i biglietti che se dubito che sia possibili trovarli anche in piccionaia al Forum) Ciao Lorenzo

Si lo so del peso (mi confermi che pesano anche il bagaglio a mano ?) ma per l'andata penso che 25 kg possano essere sufficienti (comunque in macchina - sarei indirizzato verso il Grand Cherokee o il Dodge Caravan - più di 4/5 valigie non ci stanno); peraltro come ho detto caricherei anche un paio di valigie in stiva; eventualmente se non arrivano con noi le faccio recapitare a San Francisco o a Las Vegas; altrimenti compro valigie a Los Angeles per l'eventuale shopping pre-partenza. Si confermo allo stato non ho ancora nulla di prenotato, dentro i parchi non cì più nulla di disponibile e comunque non sono in astratto disposto a farmi rapinare per alloggi non all'altezza - la mia filosofia è rapporto qualità/prezzo - meglio un motel allora. Per Las Vegas sono in effetti tentato dal Bellagio o dal Paris (circa E 350,00 per due notti) anche se E-Dreams.de (dove i prezzi sono mediamente più bassi del 20% rispetto all'omonimo italiano) avrei trovato Excalibur e Circus Circus (ove sono già andato nel 1992 ) a circa € 40,00. No ho già prenotato il volo da Bolzano a Los Angeles a/r con l'ottima tariffa promo Air-Alps Alitalia di € 2630,00 omnia (x5) non rimborsabile. Check-inn a Bolzano partenza ore 06.40 arrivo a Roma alle ore 07.50 partenza per Los Angeles alle ore 09.25 arrivo alle ore 13.30. Dubito che i bagagli arrivino con a noi comunque, partirei con 5 bagagli a mano consistenti acquistando poi l’abbigliamento i California. Le valigie in stiva sarebbero quindi quasi vuote; eventualmente potrei ricevere l'indennizzo per ritardo bagagli . anche se dubito che Alitalia paghi senza una causa - o dall'assicurazione. Sono quasi certo di poter viaggiare nonostante il fuso orario il pomeriggio e vorrei raggiungere Baskerfield o Visalia (bambini permettendo). Altra possibilità è quella di dirigersi verso Las Vegas (per pernottarvi fuori fine settimana il mercoledì o il giovedì), per poi proseguire in senso orario per la California. Altra possibilità è quella di percorre subito al costa fra Los Angeles e Frisco per poi continuare in senso orario. La mia opzione preferita e la prima in quanto mi consente di ridurre o eliminare San Diego in caso di inconvenienti ai Parchi. Vorrei se possibile dedicare alcuni giorni dir relax al mare; a proposito ho un ottimo ricordo di San Diego ove nell'agosto 1992 ho fatto vita da spiaggia e molti bagni nell'oceano!! Un’altra domanda per il nolo dell’auto viene richiesta la patente internazionale ? Lorenzo Puccetti Ho già fatto un lungo viaggio nel west vent'anni fa ora torno con la famiglia.

Desiderei ricevere consigli sulla razionalità del percorso indicato e sulle località migliore per pernottare per la visita a Zion, Bryce e Grand Canyon North Rim e a Grand Canyon South Rim. Ovviamente il tragitto è condizionato anche dalla percorribilità del Tioga Pass. Per due adulti e tre bambini (10, 7 , 4 anni) i motel ed in particolare i Motel 6 sono disponibili con la soluzione stanza unica ?
