Buongiorno, sono in possesso del contrassegno per disabili Italiano, sapete come funziona per ottenerlo in California? Grazie

Provo a darti il mio contributo. Premetto che le  mie informazioni sono datate, nel 2015 in occasione del mio primo OTR in USA avevo il contrassegno disabili legato ad un problema di salute di mia figlia. Ce lo siamo portati in USA per esporlo insieme ad un contrassegno in lingua inglese in caso di necessità.

Ti copio e incollo le info raccolte allora per i 4 stati che abbiamo visitato (California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada):

 

Disabled Parking
California
Parking on roads
You may park:
• In a parking space marked with the international wheelchair symbol.
• Next to a blue curb (authorized parking for persons with disabilities)
• Next to a green curb (indicate limited time parking) for as long as you wish
• In an on-street metered parking space at no charge
• In an area that indicates it requires a resident or merchant permit
You may not park:
• In a parking space with a crosshatched marking and the international wheelchair symbol unless the placard
holder needs wheelchair access (these spaces are reserved solely for wheelchair and wheelchair lift access)
• Next to red curbs (no stopping, standing, or parking)
• Next to yellow curbs (reserved for commercial vehicles to load and unload passengers or freight)
• Next to white curbs (reserved for loading and unloading passengers or depositing mail in an adjacent mailbox)
Parking in car parks
You may park in a parking space marked with the international wheelchair symbol.
Parking concessions in car parks may vary - check the car park notices or ask an attendant.
Arizona
Parking on roads
You may park in a parking space marked with the international wheelchair symbol.
We currently have no information on parking concessions – ask locally.

Andando nel concreto l'unico ricordo che ho di un caso in cui il permesso disabili abbia fatto la differenza è al Sequoia NP, dove per la visita al Generale Sherman esistevano due parcheggi, uno più piccolo e vicino aperto a tutti d'inverno e solo ai possessori di contrassegno disabili d'estate, ed un parcheggio estivo più lontano.

Per il resto non abbiamo mai avuto problemi di parcheggio.
